Making payments at public healthcare institutions (PHIs) has never been easier.
In line with Singapore's vision of a Smart Nation, IHiS has enhanced electronic payment capabilities to offer patients a wide range of digital payment options at PHIs, which also increases PHIs' operational efficiency.
Collaborating with the three healthcare clusters: SingHealth, the National University Hospital System and the National Healthcare Group, IHiS zoomed in to the benefits of a single line of payment. To that end, IHiS' ePay project team identified four key areas of improvement.

Since February 2018, the team has worked closely with the PHIs to ensure and facilitate the transition to digital payments. They conducted various stakeholder engagement sessions across a span of six months to communicate the requirements and benefits of digital payments to the users. While there were initial concerns about the new initiative, the sessions served to bring everyone on the same page to push this through for a better patient experience.
"We are thankful to both the users and the teams for collaborating and pushing this project through. The benefits are evident as patients can now enjoy new cashless modes of payment and a seamless experience paying multiple bills all in the same day." shared IHiS Deputy Director Chee Jau Lee.
